Improvisation and intuition fuel my calculated compulsions—inspiring repetitive processes. I go in and out of moments of obsession, seeking understanding—of myself, of material, of techniques, of objects.
Much of my process is based in thoughtful experimentation. I get lost in motions and materials—their interactions, their sensations. They guide my choices, and I transform them without disrupting their integrity. I alter forms while leaving relations to the original through thoughtfully placed details and sensory perceptions. The products themselves become synthetic evidence of the material they reference, always showing signs of a transformation yet maintaining relation to their origins.
My work exists as a sensual synthesis; consciously questioning bodily forms and what it means to be alive. It is at once a comforting maternal embrace and a synthesis of data; hot and cold, reaction and reflection.
