Creative Day-to-Night Timelapses
Using Adobe Lightroom Classic and Premiere Pro

This is a trick I often use to make creative day-to-night timelapses. They can still have a powerful impact without the long hours and extra gear sometimes required of a traditional holy grail Day-to-Night timelapse. For this, rather than spend hours and hours in the one spot, you only need to short two short sequences at different times of day, ensuring you line up the same position. The rest is created in Premiere Pro.

Editing
The process for editing is quite simple
1. Edit the two sequences in Lightroom and export in a sequence ready to edit in Premiere Pro
2. Open both clips in Premiere Pro as sequences
3. Line up the clips as best as possible (done by turning down the opacity of one clip)
4. Create a simple transition from day-to-night (can be as simple as using the cross-dissolve effect)
5. Use keyframes you move the frame around during the timelapse.
