KANJI Chronicles Typeface | Editorial Design
Project Summary
The project was aimed at creating a unique typeface inspired by a character from a film or novel. The typeface had to be explored by means of mixed media resulting in an experimental ,expressive but crafted outcome to be applied to a poster and promotional editorial piece.

Design Strategy
`If you must blink, do it now “, a direct quote from the shamisen strumming , paper wielding protagonist, the typeface was inspired by Kubo and the two strings. The character is famously known for his ability to fold paper with his music hence the typeface emulating this unique take on origami meets entropy. The concept of perception was a popular theme with the character thus inspiring all my creative decisions along the way.
