Project for our Social Design course, in collaboration with the charity organization “Pane Quotidiano”.
Since pane in Italian means bread, we decided to use as our main material stale bread, received from bakeries at the end of the day, and give it a new purpose. The other material in use is resin, which has been applied in different ways, depending on which type of bread was used. The final result is a tableware collection, that includes a plate, two fruit/ aperitivo bowls, and a small serving bowl. What makes this project interesting is that any bread can be used, therefore bread waste would be up-cycled and hopefully reduced, as well for awareness purposes for Pane Quotidiano Onlus.
