COVID-19 CHARITY PRINT RELEASE

‘We Can Be Heroes’ limited edition print is the latest work in a new series by Remo Camerota. The work is reflecting everyday heroes in the new world of COVID-19. Doctors, Nurses and Frontline workers are depicted in the artwork as a new type of SUPER HERO.
Please help me raise much needed funds to protect our new Super Heroes on the frontline and save lives. With the sale of this limited edition print, profits raised will go toward the CEDARS-SINAI, non-profit hospital and COVID-19 UCLA health fund as well as the continuation of limited edition print runs for future charities. I chose both these charities because they have both come to my aid when I needed them most, so now its my turn to give back.
The world is facing an unprecedented challenge with Communities and Economies everywhere affected by the growing COVID-19 pandemic, and its rising dramatically in my home state of California. We can come together to combat the pandemic by pledging solidarity and support for the people affected most by the outbreak.
Let us all be heroes and help stop the spread of the virus by providing much needed funds for the everyday heroes who are saving our lives.
ART AND DUTY IN TIMES OF COVID 19
As a visual artist I am in the same boat as everyone else. We are living in unprecedented times and the outlook is not clear for any of us. It is so easy to get bogged down in uncertainty, anxiety, boredom and depression. Lost in the mundane and fear that we won’t get back on our feet. We all feel this way.
Recently I decided to put my skills to good use and good intentions. I decided to create something that can bring some benefit to our essential workers. At the same time fill my need to create.
Our doctors, nurses and frontline workers are putting their lives at risk everyday. I wanted to pay tribute to them, and so 'We can be heroes' project was born. The first in the series depicts an all powerful doctor/nurse, standing proud while helping our citizens. A new kind of Wonder Woman. The title also suggests that we can all be heroes by doing something to help. And of course it is a great song by David Bowie.
This began as an idea, an illustration on paper, moved to adobe draw and illustrator and finished in photoshop. There is a 500 limited edition 18 x 24” print run, numbered and signed.
Proceeds go to CEDARS-SINAI, non-profit hospital in LA and COVID-19 UCLA health fund. I chose these charities because they have come to my aid when I needed them most, so now its my turn to give back. We can bring some relief to our frontline heroes, and add some color into your homes with this print.
