NASA Goddard SpaceX Demo-2 Mission Communications

Organized a communications campaign for NASA Goddard's role in the SpaceX Demo-2 mission, the first human spaceflight launch in a commercially-owned and operated human-rated spacecraft. Goddard leads the communications network support for this historic mission. The multi-faceted campaign included media (organizing talent for live shots and interviews), social media (seen below), web and multimedia (feature story here, video below), and internal engagement (presentation to Goddard employees). Campaign reach was 229 million people, with 7.2 million impressions and nearly 71 thousand engagements. 

Created social media posts and made photos of engineers working on site at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. This effort made 5.5 million impressions on social media.


Developed content for a first person Instagram post on the NASA Goddard account, garnering 280.6 thousand impressions and organized an Instagram Q&A, answering questions about the mission.


Working with a video producer, developed a short "explainer" video to showcase NASA Goddard's role in the mission.
