《街坊城市 NEIGHBORHOOD CITY》这本书与“街坊城市”展览同期发布，书籍的主要内容为坊城设计十余年发展历程中的设计策略、设计作品及相应的介绍。
我们在与坊城的同事们沟通的过程中，很快确定了要把书设计成一本“黑砖头”的意向。一方面建筑师对黑色情有独钟（甚至有一本叫《为什么建筑师都穿黑色Why Do Architects Wear Black?》的书，专门收录了各著名建筑师们谈论这一怪现象），另一方面坊城建筑的项目类目众多，我们希望用一种统一的秩序来将繁杂的内容统合起来，使其整体性更强。
在整体装帧和内页的设计上我们均使用黑色，并强化黑色，尽量减少其他色彩、材料和内容对整体设计的影响。使得“黑砖头”这一意向得到不断的强化。

The book of NEIGHBORHOOD CITY is published as the same time with the Neighbourhood City exhibition, and its main content is the designing strategies, design works and relative introductions of the development course of the FCHA in over a decade
When we were discussing with the colleagues from the FCHA, our mind was made up pretty fast that we were going to design a looking of a “black brick” for the book. On one hand, architects seem to have a special preference for the color black (there’s even a book called Why Do Architects Wear Black?, which specially collected the discussions over this strange phenomenon of all famous architects); on the other hand, based on the big amount of project categories of architectures in FCHA, we wish to integrate all the complex content with one united order to make the entirety stronger.
In the design of the overall banding and the inside pages, we all used the color black as the common looking, emphasizing the black and minimizing the influence on the overall design from other colors, materials and content, and reinforcing the idea of “black brick”.
