The quaranting illustration series gave me an opportunity to create work based on peopel who have inspired me and helped to make me who I am today. In college I began to discover who I was ethnically and culturally. As a brown man in this country, I didn't always feel understood or fit in. As I became a student of my own history, one man stood out as a monumantal figure in the Chicano movement, Cesar Chavez. He He was an American labor leader, community organizer, businessman, and Mexican American civil rights activist, He gave a voice to a group that has been historically underprivileged and systemically oppressed.

Being a teacher I'm always trying to stay up to date with all the Adobe CC software. I've always been a vector head, so when Adobe Ideas, then Draw came out, I immediately gravitated to the app. I chose a color scheme that rich and beautiful like the that of the Chicano culture.

Enjoy and thanks for your support!
