Every photo contains a memory: people, place or time. I photographed people holding a photo that represented their response to a question: “What is the most important thing to you?” As they flipped through albums or looked at their framed pictures, it looked like they were going through their memory chests to find a moment recorded in their lives. 

 

          They eventually turned up with pictures of family and friends, a sign to me that in an age clouded by materialism, people they love mattered more than ever.
