Perception Desorder - Undergraduation final project in print and pattern design
This project intends to approach in a collection of prints, the multiple
perceptions that one has of the big cities and the complex relation between the individual
and the urban environment, being the excerpts of a research based mainly on
urban anthropology and sociology. Using a robust bibliography and intense observation
of points of São Paulo, each print of the collection is made thinking about its
meaning and its representativeness. Mixing various techniques of manual and digital
drawing and illustration, combined with photographic fragments, various textures
and collages, the work results in prints that vary in style and weight, aiming to
address subjects common to any major city, not just São Paulo, but as well as representations
of cities that exist only in the eyes of each individual. In its materiality,
the research product is a collection of prints that are applicable to various segments
of fashion and house decoration.
