As a feminist, I used performance

photography. I photographed myself

suffocating under the piece of

plastic; the plastic is a metaphor for

patriarchy. Using photoshop, I then

created a graphic poster with a background that consisted of texts to show the “‘rules”’ of

patriarchy such as “women belong in

the kitchen” and “women cannot

drive.” These issues are prevalent in

my country. I created a glitch on the

background to depict the sort of

malfunction these statements cause

in society.
