Working through the night, more than 60 years ago a famous sign was about to be turned on at Picadilly Circus, London. It measure 44 sq. ft, had nearly a mile of neon cable and weighed 5,000 pounds. Built by British company Claude General Neon Lights Ltd for Coca Cola and placed among the many other signs that lit up this corner of the capital. Here's an illustration I created about the story of that sign.
