"And since I don't have a fancy presentation, I'm going to talk to you in the best way I can. Through stories." This was the opening line of my talk.
I remember watching one of my first TED Talks years back in college. “These are nice,” I'd thought to myself, to be able to stand in front of an audience and share an idea. And so for the longest time, I wished I could give one. I waited, and after watching a tonne of other speakers over the years, 2018 decided I should not wait anymore.
I gave my first TEDx talk at HL College of Commerce, Ahmedabad, India (TEDxHLCC) on the 25th of February 2018. It was a big moment for me. I even took my mom along. She cried watching me on stage.
The talk was called ‘Seeking Firsts’. It had four stories (along with a poem). I shared some of my first experiences. And talked about it all- the nervousness, embarrassment, sadness and joy. And strangely how we’ve all shared those first experiences and felt the exact same.
