spark by TanHaus is a pair of touch-sensitive lamps, designed with the aim to foster long-distance communication mediated by tactile experience.

When someone touches one lamp, the other one lights up, and vice versa.

The two lamps communicate over the Internet, circumventing any restriction on physical distance. 

The egg shape design fits nicely into a human’s hand, coupled with the ambient light quality and and matte exterior texture, encourages touch as an extended modality for communication.
