My best friend was making an urban planning research and diploma project of the spatial harmonization of historical and cultural territories of Sergiev Posad.
Two days before final review she asked me to help her with free-hand drawing of the Lavra.
So I spend 6 hours on making it on vellum paper and then processed photos of the final drawing in Photoshop.
I guess it is quite good for the quick sketch (90 cmx40 cm)
I used pigment liners and PITT artist pen.
The Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius (Russian: Тро́ице-Се́ргиева Ла́вра) is the most important Russian monastery and the spiritual centre of the Russian Orthodox Church. The monastery is situated in the town of Sergiyev Posad, about 70 km to the north-east from Moscow by the road leading to Yaroslavl, and currently is home to over 300 monks.
