Fred Perry Record Store Day 2019 // Subculture
An illustration submission for the Fred Perry Record Store Day 2019, based on the competition theme "Subculture". I chose to focus on Psychedelia, a subculture originated from the 1960s subculture of psychedelic experiences. Taking inspiration from the motifs and style of the time period, I illustrated repetitive swirling motifs and an eye viewing "an alternative view" with a focus on Fred Perry's brand logo as a pupil of the eye to suggest their brand as a gateway to subcultures.
