Lancer Printshop is a freelancing business I created at Livingston High School where members of the school and greater community could have media and other communications created for their own use.

As an active member of the Technology Department, I took the tools that are important in the Visual Graphic Communications industry and displayed them so that any student who may be interested can take the initiative to become involved themselves.

Being versatile in the Visual Graphic Communications industry is a lot more important than just knowing the Adobe Creative Suite.  Knowing how to adapt your design into a physical product is an invaluable tool to know.  The following projects were designed on Adobe Illustrator and cut with a Roland Large Format Vinyl Cutter using the application CutStudio.

F.I.R.E team #16953
F.I.R.E Team is the first international robotics team to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Competition.  They have members from both New Jersey, USA and Arad, Israel.

Left:  For their first trip to Israel, the American students asked for a sign they could bring to differentiate themselves at the competition. Using Adobe Illustrator, I adapted the American flag to an 18x24 in canvas and cut it out in vinyl.  To preserve the canvas, it was sealed using an Acrylic Polymer Varnish.

Right:  With fears that the robot would be damaged in international transport, I clearly labeled the box so that we could ensure it would be handled with care.

Livingston Television
"LTV is the community access channel for Livingston, New Jersey. It is operated by volunteers from all walks of life who have an interest in television programming, production, operations and marketing and are dedicated to bringing local information, entertainment, and education to all members of the Livingston community."

After receiving a retired school bus to use as their new Field Production Unit, the director of LTV asked for decals that could clearly label the bus and let the public know how to tune in.  The largest vinyl decal on this bus stretches 8 feet long.  Both sides of the bus have the "Livingston Television" and "Field Production Unit" labels, making for a total of 5 large applications!

A Pathway to Hope
"A Pathway to Hope is a foster based rescue in Northern, NJ dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of abandoned dogs and cats. Their focus is on special needs cases, south to north rescue of northern breed dogs and local rescue of stray cats and dogs."

Left:  For one of their annual fundraisers, I made shirts for 5 volunteers with this detailed geometric pit-bull pocket design. Sized 5x5 inches and printed in heat-press vinyl.

Right:  Inspired by the first geometric design, this husky was made as a two-color vinyl decal mounted on a 10x10 inch aluminum sign blank.
