We should raise awareness about Child sexual molestation and protect our children. Child sexual molestation is a very common phenomenon all over the world mostly in underdeveloped or developing countries such as Bangladesh. CDC estimates almost every one in three female child and one out of four male child has been sexually abused in their childhood. Growing up in Bangladesh, I have heard way too many sexual abuse stories from my friends and family members. It’s high time we talk about this. If predetors do not hesitate hurting our children why do we feel so ashamed to talk about this? One wrong touch is enough to make a child's childhood poisonous. May also be the cause of long term trauma. Talking about child sexual molestation at an early age can save our children from trauma that they have to carry all their lives. We don’t even have to cross our religious or societal boundaries to talk about this. Just create a safe space for your child so that they know what is wrong and it’s their body and no one can touch it without their consent. It starts from home. Have you talked about it?.
