University of Technology Brand ID: a Case Study

University of Technology organized a competition for developing the identity of the university. Without giving a defined brief, the university want to diversify the brand that able to interact with digital medium in straightforward manner.
The University of Technology logo resembles an respectable iconic mark in the in the traditional academic community in Iraq. Hence, refining the identity of university of technology require applying the modern principles yet keeping the classical feel of it. The traditional colors and symbols are further developed to meet the modern social media criteria, adding the book symbology when entering the famous Alsaa’a gate is a traditional concept in scientific organization. It is worth mentioning that the logo built on symmetry principle which reflects a major engineering concept.
