Responsive website design and development for the Brooklyn-based alternative rock band Minaxi.
With Minaxi’s audiovisual content on the rise, the band needed an official repository of their music, visuals, liner notes and other pertinent information. The website would also serve as an access point for Minaxi’s streaming and social channels.
The Process
The design process was kicked-off by identifying the key target audiences. These are mentioned in the diagram below. Keeping this audience in mind, I began seeking inspiration for various parts of the website. This involved examining existing websites for design elements such as layout, typography, colour and user interface graphics.
I then proceeded to designing the thumbnails for the desktop and mobile versions of the website. This helped in problem solving early on, leading to a smooth workflow.
The Design
The following images showcase several pages of the website in desktop and mobile format. The design was developed on Cargo Collective's backend using custom code.
