American Idiot Art Design Contest

A local radio station held a design/art contest in anticipation of Green Day's American Idiot the Musical coming into town. The contest was to create a piece of art inspired by the album, or more specifically whatever your interpretation is of the message the album contained.

The radio station picked 10 finalists and sent their artwork to the set designer of the musical, and she picked three pieces that would be added to the rest of the artwork feature onstage throughout the show.

One of my pieces was selected by the radio station as a finalist, but was not chosen by the set designer.
This is the other piece I submitted to the radio station.
I always like having a few extra variations, and this was a fun contest to make artwork for. In the end, I decided this was too green.
I think I also decided this one was too green, or maybe too simple. I do love it as a part of my own art collection, though.
