Bottled Perception

Here are some photograms that I worked up in the midst of another full hump day. I was looking around my room for things with some sort of glass or transparency that would play into the idea of vision, or further, perception. I came up with some stage glasses, an interesting jar, and a camera lens. I threw in a key, because hey, I had a key in my pocket. Work with what you've got.

The prints were done with a color enlarger and Ilford Multigrade IV Fiber Paper.

The moisture in the jar added an unexpectedly intricate texture to the glass.

On this photogram, I autopsied an old contact sheet as sloppily as I could in the red light to make this eye shape. Then I made a contact print with the shapes and the detached SLR lens for the pupil.
