Boxed In
Have you met anyone that has never let anyone in there life? They seem unfriendly and insecure. They are the typr of people that   has boxed themselves in from the harsh society. "Boxed In" is a cold figurative painting. Wet acrylic paint were used to show its icy bue monochrome colors that represent those closed-off people.

The artist was inspired by a book about a daughter and how cold she acted towards the dad she met for the first time. The daughter only had two people in her life: her mom and best friend since second grade. "Boxed In" reflects on all the people she has pushed away. The artist was once that daughter. She never liked people as well as change. She didn't like how people she love constantly changed. It was selfish but it's understandable. "Boxed In" wants to somehow tell its audience that love isn't constant. It's active and still growing. Its about learning to accept all the versions of your loved one no matter how much change there is.

Mabuhay
Life is messy. The pandemic, typhoons, earthquakes, and everything dark happening makes us just give up on life. This smudged acrylic painting, "Mabuhay," reflects on the beauty of life in the darkness.

This year, 2020, truly isn't anyone's year. We are all mentally and physically drained. We get annoyed at the little things and just lose hope on everything. "Will there even be a future?" This painting wishes to inspire or motivate it's audience with it's pastel rainbow colors. Life is a beautiful gift we've never asked for but was given to anyway.
