Philadelphia College Athletes for Social Justice

In light of the recent police violence and racial injustice, college athletics administrators from the surrounding Philadelphia area came together to form Philadelphia College Athletes for Social Justice (PCASJ). The group aims to advocate for racial justice and educate college athletes within the greater Philadelphia area on societal inequities.

PCASJ’s commitment to combating racial injustice has inspired a diverse group of college athletes to join the fight and promote equality and inclusivity for all. The organization strongly believes in the influence that student-athletes have on their campuses and communities to promote change.

Their new bold logo integrates two recognizable symbols, the raised fist, symbolizing strength, and Philadelphia’s iconic Liberty Bell, symbolizing freedom. Upon a closer look, the logo’s jagged edges are reminiscent of the hand-made picket signs seen at marches and rallies, adding a personal touch to the overall identity. Similarly, the logo’s condensed-geometric typeface, Politica, creates a sense of urgency, encouraging college athletes to join and spread their core values of liberty, freedom, inclusivity, and unity.
