COLOMBIA ILLUSTRATIONS
These are illustrations I did about the cities I visited in Colombia: Bogota, Medellin, Santa Marta, Macarena, Villa de Leiva, and others. I wanted to describe these places in a mor personal way. Instead of high lightning the obvious, I rather show what is peculiar and singular form that place. The illustrations were done to accompanied writings I did about urban stories and myths of the country. Others, are part of a journal I wrote about the things that amazed me the most. I also did a map of the places I visited in a very particular way. Finally, I took elements from all the illustrations I did and created a pattern with it.
THE MAP.
The map of Colombia showing the places I visited. I used different materials such as thread, tape, different paper and of course graphite.
The thread shows the routes I took.

El Tucán. Story here

PATTERN
I took elements from the illustrations and I did a pattern with them. I used the elements that attracted me the most and also the ones that play together harmonically. This is the result.
