Was hired to design a logo for a company who is doing everything by hand, while at the same time they have doubled their orders for their products. As usual, everything starts with a rough thumbnail sketch, and the client really wanted a small "chicken" to be in their logo. They always wanted it to be stylized like it came from the 50's or 60's. But after designing 3 logos for them, I finally won them over with, to me, showed something more down their alley, showing the needle and thread, at the same time, being professional enough to use anywhere.

Here are the three logos I did for them initially.

 

This is the finalized logo, and chosen logo. As you can tell, more creative, and they went with my idea of taking "chicky" off their name, and just using "Chirpy." Which I was trying to explain to them would make a better, shorter brand name, and also they would end up with a more creative logo, then one just using a chicken.
