"Children are spoiled these days." - B.C. 425, Socrates
Thousands of years later, even if times change, the new generation is still spoiled and incomprehensible in the eyes of the older generation. But I suddenly wondered why 'Generation Z' is considered a particularly strange and fearful 'child these days.' The 20 items most owned by Generation Z are expressions of values and lifestyles they commonly pursue. This project expresses Gen Z's unique perspectives on objects through illustrations, and looks into their lives in three dimensions.

수 천년이 지난 지금, 시대가 변해도 여전히 기성세대의 눈에 신세대는 버릇이 없고 이해할 수 없는 대상이다. 하지만 나는 문득 우리 'Z세대'가 왜 유독 이상하고 두려운 '요즘 애들'로 여겨지는지 궁금해졌다. Z세대가 가장 많이 소유하고 있는 20가지의 물건들은 그들이 공통적으로 추구하는 가치관, 라이프스타일의 표현이다. 본 프로젝트는 물건을 바라보는 Z세대만의 다양한 시각을 일러스트레이션으로 풀어내어, 그들의 삶의 모습을 입체적으로 조명한다.
If the 20 objects are the means to express Generation Z, the letters such as the password hidden by the symbol mean the gaze of the older generation looking at them. Despite being obscured, it is an element of empathy for 'children these days' who read letters, and the older generation, who do not, requires an attempt and a little effort to understand. In addition, the mosaic of the object and not showing it clearly acts as a hint for the older generation who are in the quiz.
20가지 물건들이 Z세대를 표현하는 수단이라면 기호로 가려진 암호같은 문자들은 그들을 바라보는 기성세대의 시선을 뜻한다.
가려짐에도 불구하고 문자를 읽어내는 '요즘 애들'에겐 공감의 요소로서, 그렇지 못한 기성세대에게는 이해를 위한 시도와 약간의 노력을 요구한다. 또한, 물건을 모자이크해 명확히 보여주지않은 것은 퀴즈에 임하는 기성세대를 위한 힌트로 작용한다.
