For this project I was required to create a stylized portrait of someone in popular culture. 

I chose Ron Swanson from "Parks and Recreation" as my subject. I gave him an American flag background because he is very patriotic. I wanted to give it an election poster feel, I also wanted to play with color while keeping his stern looks.

This is the original photo used for reference and the outline of the shapes/lines used to recreate the photo with geometric shapes, color, and textures. I created the portrait in Adobe Illustrator primarily using the pen tool. Below is a few examples for the application of this project.
