My work from mostly 2019 that didn't get finished yet I feel still deserves some attention. Most of it was done for 99designs contests, so bear in mind that all of these are WIP and early stage sketches.
This first one is a design for a children's plate, hence the weird overall shape. The task was to represent main food groups in each sections. The two ones below are grains and fruit. The was also another one with protein planned.
With grains I decided to also include images of the plants since not a lot of kids have an idea how they look on a plant before harvest (I certainly didn't).
This was an illustration on "Creativity" for a t-shirt, a 99designs own contest. With such a broad subject I decided to focus on visual art and collaborative effort to make something awesome (like a dragon. Dragons are awesome!).
I wanted it to read as a whole picture from afar (like "Oh it' a blue flower-breathing dragon with tiny people, huh? Makes sense!") but also be interesting to look at and ("Oh the tiny people are making the dragon! So clever! That artist is so smart!").
You can see different types of artist like traditional on the right, digital on the left, some Careless Doodles in the middle, Hard-Thinking Sketches on the bottom and a Gal Just Having A Good Time in upper middle. I had a lot of ideas for this one but then I didn't get paid and that's obviously the most important thing so it's now here in a dump.
My favourites are these vector folks. Look at them go!
A part of a design for a bag for a marine conservation centre in New Zealand. This one didn't get picked but I actually worked with them on another bag design and that was one of my favourite jobs.
It's like he's swimming out of your screen, right, right? Very much not finished but he's a handsome big boy that deserves to be looked at.
The task with this one was to illustrate a middle aged couple having a good time (or something like that) for a wine brand.
This one is an early stage sketch for an adorable children book. It's about a little girl who got scared of her grandma when meeting her for a first time. It was supposed to be made for an actual girl and I designed the grandma from a photo.
Thanks for watching!
