It's not uncommon to feel an absolute, overwhelming displeasure for a piece of art you've created. Working so hard on something for so long only for it to fail is unquestionably disheartening. It can make you feel like creating just isn’t worth the effort nor the stress. Worse yet, it can make you think that you, personally, are useless. That's how I felt about the film I made before this one.

Dealing with creative failure is difficult. But what’s harder is moving on to whichever project is next. Creating this film was an exercise in letting go of personal failure and reestablishing trust in myself. Cobbled together from the scraps of my previous failed film, Heart and Circulation: An Instructional Sound Film attempts to portray the whirlwind that is creating. It depicts all of the successes, failures, anxieties, and mania as a pure cathartic expression of passion for the craft.
