For my sustained investigation I asked myself the question: what does a child's imagination look like? In piece number one I used multiple space images to depict a little girl imagining that she was fishing for planets. For this piece I used Photoshop to combine the images into one and kept to a dark palette to denote the feelings that come along with being in space. I went through many changes in this piece on how to properly depict a child's imagination in space and create a proper color balance. In piece number 3, my idea became more developed by adding the idea of the color palette that a child imagines. In this piece, I used photos of a little girl, and a colorful splatter and made the splatter paint with a brush and the background using the pen tool in Photoshop. I chose to create a brighter palette of colors for this piece in order to bring out the childish colors one might imagine. In piece number 4 I continued with the balance of bright colors while portraying a girl imagining she was on the streets of New York City. For this piece I combined the use of bright colors with a collection of photos that depict New York along with the use of special effects brushes to create the perfect scene.
