The Vicki Speakman Foundation—created in memory of one woman’s brave battle with breast cancer—needed an invitation that would not only clearly communicate the details of their annual fundraising event, but also exude the event’s joyful, uplifting spirit. What’s more, they needed it on a nonprofit budget.

 

The date of the event appears alone on the cover of the invitation, immediately informing the recipient when the party will be. The daisies layered in the date graphic are a recognizable symbol of the organization. The rich colors inside balance the sweetness of the front cover, while short phrases set in playful type let invitees know what kind of things to expect at the event. By working with standard envelope sizes and minimizing paper weights, we were also able to meet the client’s strict budgetary goals.
