Los desconocidos

A tribute to Spanish greyhounds

Experimental publication where different image treatments and printing methods have been explored, such as separation of channels, duotones, halftones, channel screening.

Los Desconocidos (The Unknown) is an experimental book that shows how greyhounds trully are. In Spain, they are involved in a hunting tradition that ends up torturing and killing greyhounds every year. They are abused and starved by hunters during the hunting season and then left to die or abandoned as they are deemed no longer useful.

After the hunting season, many animal welfare organisations, rescue, rehabilitate and give a new home to many of this greyhounds, so they can start a new life.

The purpose of this book is to eliminate stereotypes that greyhounds carry with them, since they are seen as large dogs that need a lot of space and have a lot of energy. The truth is that all they need to be happy is a couch and some love.
