Bovine Dreams

Driving down the Trans-Canada highway, I passed this remarkably photographic cow pasture between Saskatchewan and Alberta. I wheeled the car around and approached with my camera. Eventually, they surrounded their pregnant sister as I approached and blocked me off, but I was amazed and thankful by how close the animals let me near. Framed through barbed wire, the individual personalities and curiosities of these creatures are revealed in strange and surprising ways. -mg
