Heimat

  • Heimat
I was invited to an exhibition that reunited 50 Illustrators from Colombia and 50 from Germany to create a piece for a concept called Heimat. It has not an specific meaning in Spanish but somehow is related to the roots that made the person you are now. Kind of the things that make you unique and what you can call home. This is the piece that I came up. I become the person who I am today from the walk I walked rather than from the roots that I come. Somehow this become my home because since 2008 I haven't stay in a single place for more than two years, so instead of being something static I had to be moving in order to represent my Heimat.
  • PROCESS
For this piece I tried a new thinking process that I think is worth it to share. Everything was done on computer and I was looking for new ways to communicate and also resolving works.
