Moody XXV
Life of the Street - Part 2
Waltham, Massachusetts, December 2020
With the advent of cold weather, the restaurant tents came down, and Moody Street was reopened to vehicular traffic. The street once again became a linear venue with people coming and going, but few milling about. Despite this limitation, and the imperative for social distancing, a patient photographer could still find some human interest to record.

The late-afternoon sun, intensely golden, woke up the muted colors of the street, discouraging any thought of black-and-white. Color was part of the story and was so recorded. The oblique rays of winter sun lit up many of the passersby from behind, adding drama to the scene.
