I had the opportunity to conceptualise the poster, ticket and programme booklet design for National Junior College Chinese Orchestra and Guzheng Ensemble's annual concert in 2018. The theme of the concert was Medley: 溯 (meaning retrospect in Mandarin), hence I went with an earthy colour palette consisting of ivory, and vermillion reminiscent of traditional Chinese brush painting with illustrations of the key instruments from the six sections.
Instead of opting for the usual booklet-style programme booklet which would drive up costs, the organising team went with a double-page card with the repertoire and a short writeup for each piece on the front and a list of performers on the back. Tickets come in six different designs, one for each section. Featured here is the ticket design for the Bowed Strings section.
