Terri Foubister  // Honours Student 2021

As an illustrator and graphic designer, I love to promote and educate, focus on mindfulness and promoting taboo subjects. My end career goal is to become a teacher to share my knowledge and empower others, my work and dissertation really reflect this and show who I am as a creative. One of my passions is sustainability, in design and lifestyle, from this my dissertation and main project are about creating visual communications to teach sustainability in the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.

Another project I am undergoing is a social campaign to educate and remove the social stigma around menopause and women’s health – there is a gap in easy to access information and this created the outcome for my project. Another is creating illustrations for magazines based around the popularity of houseplants since Covid-19. These will be featured online and print to show how gardening is no longer for pensioners; millennials and gen Z have joined, and I want to reach this new inclusive market and show companies they have a gap in their target audiences. From my projects this year I was inspired to create my own etsy and share parts of my work which is a final minor project.
