New visual identity for
United Nations Climate Change
United Nations Climate Change
MY ROLE: Art direction, design system, brandbook, illustrations
I was invited to redesign the Climate Change visual identity for the United Nations. They were seeking a fresh new look that communicated energy and strength and resonated with a wide audience.
The design system needed to be clean and easy to use due to the short deadlines, as well as flexible to meet the needs of both adaptability and translation into 6 languages. So I developed a flexible design system with a modular grid, where every piece of content can be turned into a social media post, a webpage piece, a print, etc.
Together with the team, we brought a new tone of voice that was more direct and easy to understand, with short texts, infographics, and simple ways to explain complex terms. Since its launch, website visits have risen quickly (more than 1000% in 5 months) and more and more people have become interested in being part of this change. I've also made a very explanatory brandbook, with all the design details.
