Hello! My name is Matthew Myers, and I am a programmer and game developer currently residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I recently earned my Bachelor’s of science in game programming and development from Southern New Hampshire University, and am seeking my future career.

This first game is a clone of a single level of Into the Breach by Subset Games that I created in 2020 for an experiential learning course at SNHU.
-Utilized free/cheap assets and cloned design to focus on programming

This next piece is a side-scrolling platformer game that was developed in a small team for a group-based course in 2020.
-I programmed the main character behaviors and the enemy AI
-I used animation blueprints and per-bone blending to combine animations, such as the centaur run and attack.
-The team utilized Agile methodology and git version control. I was in charge of branching, merging, and coordinating weekly scrum meetings.

Next up is a procedural hex map editor that I created in UE4 with blueprints as a personal project. It uses the Runtime Mesh Component by Koderz, which is a user created procedural mesh that is designed for use at runtime, rather than being pre-generated.
-Maps triangles to sets of vertices and then adds the triangles to the mesh to form the hexes.
-Connections between hexes automatically form cliffs and terraces as elevation is modified.
-Utilizes vertex colors to control the terrain and blending.
