"The Burned Hand"
"The Burned Hand", created from coffee grinds and stains on board.
The Burned Hand" pays tribute to the victims of the Beirut explosion, and to those who are still struggling to rebuild what we call home."
The initial idea of my caffeinated hand palm painting is about home. Yes, it's about home. "War is Always an Evil" is about home, "The Same Old Theme" is about home, "Camaeir: City Of Celebration" is about home, and "Beirut Blast: The Burned Hand" is also about home. These paintings capture the story of those who have lost but are still fighting for their homes. Did you know that even the "Cups of Joy '' is about home, the only hand palm painting that I created in joyful and hopeful feeling as it should be, not in grief and sorrow.
Nothing is stronger than the shared experience and the belief to rise up and elevate each other's life.
