The Soini and Horto Annual Review serves as an internal recap of the year. It records the highlights and the most important features of the year in terms of architectural achievement. The year 2019 delivered an abundance of projects designed with sustainable materials, in particular wood. The brief for this publication was to design a review that would reflect just that. The creative solution is quite simple. The book was designed to look like a piece of wood, printed on all sides, replicating the natural appearance of a cut piece of wood. The choice of materials and colours are natural, leaving the impression of an authentic object. In its simplicity, the publication manages to capture the purity and Nordic simplicity that is associated with the use of natural materials.
