Wilderness Safaris Full Website Design

Web Design
Home Page:

The thinking behind the homepage design was first and foremost to emmerse the user into the wild using large, rich imagery. Following that is a brief introduction to Wilderness Safaris, and then my aim was to guide the user down the 3 key paths of the site. Namely, planning your first trip, seeing where the business operates in Africa and lastly, contacting Wilderness if you had travelled with them before, and wanted an itenerary suggested to you.
At the bottom is a gallery to view the latest wildlife photographs submitted by tourists as well as a drive to the blog.
Our Africa Page:

The objective for this page was to educate users on where exactly Wilderness is in operation. My Solution was to use a large map of africa with three states of detail. The first being at a country level which helped less experienced travellers to get an idea of where in Africa they could go. The second was at a region level for those who have been to Africa before. Lastly, the third and most complex level was camp specific where you could see which camps reside in which country.

Throughout all three levels of complexity, the user could get more information at any time by clicking on the CTA's housed within the map. This furthered their user journey to more detailed pages specific to country, region or camp.
Camp Overview Page:

This page gave more indepth detail for the user to fully understand what was being offered in each camp. Throughout the site, our aim was to cater for the first timer to Africa, the traveller who's perhaps visited before but not with Wilderness and lastly, the experience Wilderness repeat guest traveller.

A sticky navigation was used on the left to always allow the user to progress no matter where they were on the page.
Project is now live and can be experienced here: http://www.wilderness-safaris.com
