The history of the Museum of History and Ethnography from Nisporeni was tumultuous - in over 3 decades of activity, it has changed several locations. A new stage in its development began in April 2017, after the transfer to the ”Luceafărul” Center of Culture and Youth in the city, having the goal to create a museum as a space of communication in time. The modern space implied the creation of a new exhibition concept, realized by the contribution of the plastic artist Tudor Zbârnea, director of the National Art Museum of Moldova, native of Nisporeni. The museum has a heritage of 3500 exhibits included in collections : folk art, ethnography, ptoto-documentary, numismatics, science and technology. The institution organizes activities with the public; book launches; meetings with creators and craftsmen; thematic workshops.
