Another illustration for Quanta magazine's monthly puzzle column.
Every couple of months I produce an illustration for Quanta magazine to accompany their puzzle column. This month's article discussed the feeling of zen that comes from working through a difficult puzzle, and explored this through a wonderfully tricky example about ants on a branch. Also included here are some visuals showing the rough through to finished illustration, and some colour variations I considered for the final artwork.
