Slippery Salesman

Answer honestly: would you let this man sell you a fish lure? He'd appreciate your business... greatly.
This illustration was done for a fashion-themed assignment last year, based off of a freehanded page from my previous sketchbook. I liked the idea of giving an eel chest hair and gaudy rings for his fat fingers to flaunt, complete with yellowed teeth to occupy the space between his gold ones.
The process of this piece, shown above in a reverse order, required separating areas of the image into assets that could be rendered, scanned, and pasted back together into one cohesive illustration. It was really fun inventing this slippery character and slowly bringing him to life in a medium I enjoyed.
