La Petxina Mural
Through this mural, located in the Valencian neighbourhood of La Petxina, I aimed to create a design that would reflect its environment in a way that felt fresh and captivating. The design captures the neighbourhood’s eclectic mix of architecture and nature, thereby combining the geometric and man-made with the botanical and natural.
Location: Calle del Norte con Calle Quart, Valencia, Spain • 4 x 2.7m
I took strolls around the neighborhood, collecting inspiration from various plants and architectural details, before deciding to focus the design specifically on palm leaves and fencing. I chose to turn the fence into a tile-like pattern, as a nod to all the beautiful tiles Spanish architecture is renown for.
