As Art Director on this great project I was involved at every part of production, from initial design and concept art through to logo, app icon and even marketing art. The challenge for the team was to create something dark and spooky, yet colourful and inviting to appeal to kids' sense of curiosity and exploration!
The mysterious house has four main rooms, each one with its own strange inhabitant to interact with. This one is the Tropical Potion room. Each room has a corridor leading up to it where we had the opportunity to create some visual storytelling, to add some life and context to what lies behind each door.
The art on this page was for the living room turned laboratory, where we find a strange frog-like creature, who has travelled all the way from the depths of a tropical forest!

After creating the path leading up to the room, it was time to visualise the Tropical Potion laboratory itself where are all the fun experiments would happen!
The player is invited to have some chaotic fun with crazy science experiments, mixing potions and seeing what they can transform the frog into!
Of course one of the hardest and most fun parts of the process was designing the creature that lives in this room!
The idea was to create a critter both scary and cute! Like a hyperactive person you haven't made friends with...yet!
Above you can see some concepts of the trippy changes in colour you could affect on them with the right combination of ingredients!
