This collection is a series of auto-biographical photographs dealing with issues and perceptions of mental illness. I construct elaborate but sterile environments to convey inner struggles and personify an abstract understanding of real diseases and afflictions. Ultimately, I want my work to challenge the audience to think beyond romanticism and glamorization.
