A festival in Australia is usually a crowded sweaty, sunburn guaranteed experience but something about the blaring sun and raw experience brings you back every year. I  made this zine in 2012 "The Covers" to document the live music experience in an Australian summer. The grainy pictures and overexposed colours convey what it feels like to experience a day at a festival. The layout, typographic treatments and photographic choices of the zine are inspired by vintage record covers, in particular Bob Dylans 'Blonde on Blonde'. All photography was taken on my lomo camera with b+w film and cross process film. I aim to reproduce a 2013 version.
